apolina was born out of a desire to create a more authentic style, something exciting yet nostalgic; not a passing trend but a modern bohemian range with longevity and a sense of craft.

apolina works with a small, family-run Indian manufacturer. ethical trading and production practices are strictly adhered to and workers are not only paid a fair wage, they are also treated as members of the extended family.

all pieces are designed to fit through several seasons the fit of the dresses allows them to be worn as tunics once they've become too short, they have been designed to be layerd up or dressed down, depending on the weather. the designer imagines that each piece will be handed down to a younger sibling after its first use.
